The content of this site, including its articles and its species and province pages, is general information. It is meant to help you prepare your questions, not to answer them in place of the people qualified to do so.

Nothing on this site is legal advice, immigration advice, customs advice, firearms advice or safety advice. Using this site doesn't create any advisory relationship with Kallistesoft. Kallistesoft is not a government, is not affiliated with any government, and is not an official source.

This information may be inaccurate or out of date

Laws, regulations, seasons, licences, fees and border requirements change often, sometimes without notice, and they vary by province, species, country and your own situation. Despite our care, some information may be incomplete, inaccurate or no longer current when you read it. A "last checked" date only shows when we consulted a source; it doesn't guarantee the information is still valid.

We don't guarantee that the content is accurate, complete or up to date. Official texts always take precedence over this site.

Always confirm before you act

Before you book, travel, hunt, fish, transport a firearm or cross a border, you must confirm each piece of information with:

• your guide or outfitter
• the wildlife authority of the province or territory concerned
• the Canada Border Services Agency and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for firearms
• Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for entering Canada
• your own country's customs, veterinary and CITES authorities for anything you bring home
• a lawyer or a regulated immigration consultant if your situation calls for it

Immigration and firearms

We don't provide any service or opinion on immigration or firearms, and we can't assess your situation. We can't tell you whether you will be admitted to Canada or whether you may bring a firearm. Only the officers and the competent authorities decide. You alone are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Guides and outfitters

Guides and outfitters on GuideNord are independent businesses. Kallistesoft doesn't sell trips, take bookings or receive payments for them. Each guide is responsible for their licences, insurance, safety and offer. Reviewing an offer before it is published is not a full verification, a recommendation or a guarantee. Check a guide's licences and references yourself before you commit.

Risks

Hunting, fishing and travel in remote areas involve risks, including serious injury. You take part in these activities at your own risk, and it's up to you to prepare and to be properly insured.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kallistesoft is not liable for any damage, loss, cost, fine, seizure or refusal of entry related to using this site or the app, or to relying on their content. This notice doesn't limit any right that the law doesn't allow to be excluded.
